Well drilling

From shallow well to deep borehole: we drill by hand and by machine, matched to your land and soil.

Deep

2021 deeper

Shallow drilling

Up to 12 metres

We carry out our work by machine or by hand. With two drilling rigs we can handle even the toughest sites and soils. The type of work and the soil determine which method we choose.

Deep drilling

Up to 90 metres deep

Since 2021 a new machine lets us drill deeper than 12 metres. We drill water wells up to a maximum of 90 metres.

To reach those depths we arrive with heavy machinery and transport, so we need enough space. Not sure? We're happy to visit beforehand to discuss the options and requirements.

Regulations

Do I need a permit?

Pumping up groundwater requires an environmental permit, as part of the general environmental permit. It isn't needed in two cases:

  • Groundwater abstraction where the water is pumped exclusively with a hand pump.
  • Groundwater abstraction of less than 500 m³ per year (small user), exclusively for household use.

Don't these exceptions apply to you? Then check the Databank Ondergrond Vlaanderen to see whether you need to apply for a permit or file a notification. You'll also find the forms there.
